NACHA Business Payments Advisory Committee elects CEDAR’s Tom Womble to two-year term

December 31, 2015 Atlanta, GA. Tom Womble, Vice President, Account Services, of CEDAR Document Technologies, has been elected to the Business Payments Advisory Committee for NACHA — The Electronic Payments Association, effective January 2016.

Womble, a NACHA member for the past five years, applied for the committee position in October and was elected by the global organization’s membership in November for a two-year term covering 2016 and 2017. Womble is the first CEDAR employee to be elected to a NACHA committee.

“It gives me an opportunity to continue providing leadership in the space and expand CEDAR’s expertise within Electronic Invoice Presentment and Payment (EIPP),” Womble said. CEDAR’s business-to-business (B2B) EIPP solution lets clients present their customers with an easy-to-use invoicing portal where they can receive, view, dispute, and pay their invoices.

“It just shows that we are on the forefront of driving change within business-to-business invoicing and payments by participating in workgroups that are driving innovation within the industry,” Womble said.

Through monthly committee meetings, calls and conferences, Womble will work with industry peers to advance technologies and drive innovation in the business-to-business invoicing and payments industry. He also plans to work with the committee to drive down the cost of inefficient business processes and costs related to manual processing that he says are rampant throughout the business-to-business invoicing and payment ecosystem.
