CEDAR’s metadata warehouse aggregates data from various sources (such as user profile information or CRM analytics) into a single source that can be combined with the data extracted by our document processing engines. ETL and workflow processes use these metadata elements to support dynamic messaging, electronic forms, event-driven communications and an on-line document archive. Document metadata serves as the basis for CEDAR’s on-line document and transaction archive, which is supported by Oracle™ database technology at its core.
CEDAR’s archive is optimized to provide document, data and transaction search results rapidly, regardless of the age of the data records. All documents are stored online fully composed as they were originally sent. This approach reduces the time to service the request and eliminates quality issues common with solutions that recompose “on the fly.”
A document selected from a search result begins streaming to the end user immediately. which accounts for CEDAR’s offering of just one tier of service: ast! CEDAR’s archive also supports the storage of associated data elements and extracts in any binary format (XML, TIF, MS Word, etc.)
Extracted metadata serves other purposes as well.
Many customers engage CEDAR to use their metadata for more traditional data warehouse functions such as recurring customized reports delivered to a mailing list or uploaded to the on-line archive. Document metadata records also supply the core data elements needed to link delivery and transactional records back to the source document.
Both standardized and custom recurring reports are available from the transaction and delivery warehouse. All transaction and delivery records include the metadata record key of the source document to support complex relational reporting and event tracking.
Transaction and Delivery Data Warehouse/Tracking
CEDAR’s transaction and delivery tracking warehouses monitor electronic deliveries and smart form transactions. The delivery tracking warehouse is a key to successful email deliverability, while the transaction warehouse is key to efficient customer service.
The tracking warehouse automates retry events for temporary and grey-list failure events an dis constantly monitored by CEDAR IT Operations to ensure that maximum deilvery rates are met. In addition, enterprises can self-manage recipient failure remediation through CEDAR’s secure Web portal.
Electronic transactions performed directly from CEDAR’s secure, interactive PDFs form the basis for CEDAR’s transaction warehouse. Transactions can either initiate real-time actions or be formatted and batched for bulk processing by our client’s legacy systems.
Transaction details can be viewed directly from the document archive, enabling call center personnel to streamline handling of customer inquiries. Details are available for payments, disputes, updates, service requests, views, link tracking, and any type of smart form response from CEDAR’s secure, interactive PDFs.
