Rapidly growing Internet managed services provider seeks Java or C++ application developers to help develop leading edge web, electronic document, workflow & transaction processing applications. Position will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and supporting the core applications for the company’s online service offerings.


Responsibilities
  • The development of robust, secure, Java or C++-language applications
  • The protection of company intellectual property from accidental loss, malicious damage, or theft

Skills
  • Experience or education in object-oriented application lifecycle development;
  • Experience or education in Java or C++ application development;
  • Ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion;
  • Good interpersonal skills in working with other developers, configuration and quality engineers
  • Application development on Unix operating systems with Relational Database connectivity;
  • Interpreting written application requirements and applying sound programming practices;
  • Developing robust applications for large volume processing & online services;
  • Maintaining skills in state of the art internet application practices & applying them to projects;
  • Participating as a team member in a formal development lifecycle and release control process.
  • Unix/Linux operating systems experience;
  • Java and/or C++ programming language;
Preferred Skills
  • SQL-based Relational Databases (Oracle or MySQL);
  • SWING and JMX application development;

Education
  • BS or equivalent experience.
