Configuration Management Engineer

Rapidly growing online manages services provider seeks a Configuration Management Engineer as part of its Product Development. Position will be responsible for configuration and operation of proprietary software product to provide high volume document creation, archive and delivery services to clients. We are seeking individuals capable of handling demanding, revenue-critical operations. No travel, but must be able to work flexible hours as well as some nights and weekends.


Responsibilities
  • Interpretation and analysis of complex workflow/business requirements in order to design, configure, test, and implement complete and efficient workflow solutions;
  • Issue resolution and workflow maintenance;
  • Evaluation and reengineering of existing workflows to ensure optimal efficiency and processing;
  • Participation in software release management, system configuration, and QA resting for application changes;
  • Manage & update appropriate documentation including checklists, run books, overviews, etc;
  • Work with team to establish Standard Operating Procedures and continually seek ways to make existing processes efficient and affective

Skills
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in online service delivery;
  • Strong personal accountability for their responsibilities;
  • Ability to interface well with Operations and Development staff to deliver mission critical online services;
  • Ability to work independently, with very minimal management, and drive tasks to completion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in working with technical and client services professionals;
  • Strong problem solving, organization skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work under pressure and within aggressive schedules
  • Interpreting written application requirements and applying sound operations practices
  • Organization complex workflows into detailed, accurate documentation;
  • Conscientious attention to detail with strong personal accountability for results.
  • Linux system administration experience;
  • Perl & Unix shell scripting experience.

Preferred Skills
  • Database operations or SQL scripting experience;
  • Experience with Workflow and Document Composition & Management applications;
  • Experience with SQL_language relational databases (especially Oracle, MySQL);
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio or other organizational diagramming tool.

Education
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
