CEDAR introduces new feature for Rapid Letters™ suite

CEDAR Document Technologies expands functionality of its Rapid Letters™ suite with a new knowledgebase module.

Cedar Rapid Letters™ allows companies to issue on-demand, personalized communications in response to specific customer interactions. By defining the types of customer interactions (i.e. a customer calling a contact center and requesting a copy of their bill), companies use Rapid Letters to create templates that can then be accessed, personalized and delivered to the customer according to the customers' preference - either electronically or via print and mail.

“The Rapid Letters suite already provides individualized one to one communications, and the new knowledgebase module extends this functionality, allowing our clients to create a single letter which can be sent to multiple recipients via a delivery list,” says Keith Vaughn, CEDAR’s Vice President of Product Development.

The newly released knowledgebase module extends the functionality of Rapid Letters with a single, secure online access point to a company's repository of policy and procedure information as well as business communications. The knowledgebase dashboard displays all content and communications published over the last thirty (30) days and can be sorted by priority and published date.

“Information contained in the knowledgebase is categorized in a folder hierarchy structure that allows the user to quickly find and navigate to information,” explains Ed Allen, Project Manager at CEDAR. “This hierarchy is managed by the client administrator who can add new folders, modify folder names and location as well as add files to specific folder locations. All changes made are immediately available to end-users,” says Allen.

The knowledgebase search function further assists users in locating information by allowing them to search by keyword, file name, file type, knowledge base folder and published date. The keyword search will return search results for all content in the knowledge base that contains the keyword as an individual word or part of a word.

With this new module, Rapid Letter users can more quickly and easily navigate through the potentially vast number of communications assets, reducing the time to respond to customer requests. This in turn reduces the cost of servicing customers while improving the customer interaction and overall customer experience.
