Rapid Content Manager

Take control of the content of your customer communications.

Increase revenue and improve customer retention and loyalty through effective transpromo messaging and cross-selling of other products. CEDAR’s Web-based Rapid Content Manager facilitates marketing messaging and promotions, with A/B testing for higher penetration rates.

The Rapid Content Manager enables dynamically controlled content in specified regions of print and electronic documents. Document content, insertion rules, template management and proofing all occur based on the schedule of your business needs — not your service provider’s development schedule — whether the document will be delivered in print or electronically. Four Rapid Content Manager modules manage these processes:

  • Resources
  • Rules
  • Templates
  • Proofing

Documents can be deployed in multiple languages based on your customers’ requirements.

Roles and access rights configurations are designed to support enterprise use of the Rapid Content Manager’s standard features.

Rapid Content’s easy-to-use administration interface lets you create and assign predefined roles for your internal stakeholders and users.

Resources Module

  • The Resources module enables users to upload text, images and other resources and identify those resources as available for use in any document at any time.
  • Users can search for existing resources such as text blocks, graphics and inserts by entering search criteria such as resource name, description and file type and can view and select from the search results.
  • Version histories of each resource are stored for resource management and auditing purposes. New versions of existing resources can be composed and activated by users.
  • Descriptive resource information such as resource name, description, file type, file category, status, version, description, version creator, date composed and file name can be displayed via the Web interface.

The Resources module supports new resource composition via file uploads in a variety of formats depending on the final output formats enabled (e.g. JPG, PNG, and PDF for PostScript and PDF output).

Rules Module

The Rules module enable users to construct rules and set conditions that control when and where a resource is used in a specific print and/or electronic document. Users can search for existing rules by entering search criteria such as rule name, description and date modified. Search results will be displayed for the users to view and select.

Version histories of each rule are stored for rule management and auditing purposes. Additionally, new versions of an existing rule can be composed and activated by the user. Descriptive rule information such as rule name, description, status, version, editor, and date modified is displayed via a Web interface.

New rules can be composed by creating rule parameter set(s).

Prior to submission, the user will be presented a confirmation screen for each rule change.

Template Module

The Template module enables the composition of customized versions of an existing template. It also supports the convergence of resources and rules in a template version to compose a specific document type for a specific set of customers.

  • Entering search criteria such as template name and description allows a user to search for and select a specific template.
  • Version histories of each template are stored for management and auditing purposes. Additionally, new versions of an existing template can be composed and activated by the user.
  • Descriptive template information such as template name, description, status, version, creator, and date modified is displayed via the Web interface.
  • Whole pages or portions of pages can be user-controlled.
  • For each region, the user selects what resources will be included and when.
  • A corresponding Web URL link can be defined for each rule/resource combination for electronic delivery documents.

Proofing Module

The Proofing module enables testing of new document templates to ensure that rules and resources are implemented as intended.

Users can apply test data, view the composed test documents and approve or reject the template version as appropriate. They can view the status of individual test sets, view documents composed from a test and initiate new tests.

A list of all test results is displayed. Information displayed can include the status of each test set (pending, running or completed), the user ID of the person who initiated the test set, and an operations button that enables the user to view associated compositions with a completed test.

Upon completion of satisfactory testing, a new template version can be set to active status and the template can be designated as production ready.
